Ingredients For Eggless Rava Cake

  • 1/2 cup Curd (fresh)
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar or blend some sugar
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1 1/2 cup Suji (fine suji)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • Oil 1/2 Cup
  • Butter Paper
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 tsp Cardomom Powder
  • Some toppings like Dry Fruits or Tutti Fruitti
  • 1 Pouch of Eno (lemon or plain)

Method To Make

  • Firstly, take a bowl and add curd and powdered sugar to it
  • After that, mix the contents with a whisker or spoon
  • Add 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour as it helps in binding the batter together
  • After mixing it all add 1 1/2 cup of Suji (Rava)
  • As a result, the batter becomes thick so we will add 1 cup milk at normal temperature
  • Add the milk slowly while mixing the batter
  • Now add 1/2 cup oil into the mix and mix well as the oil tends to float above the batter
  • Cover the bowl and leave for 15-20 minutes to let the Suji expand
  • During this time, take a tin, cut a butter paper to its size and fit it in
  • Cover the sides and the butter paper with some oil to prevent the cake from sticking to the tin
  • Further, Take a kadai and cover it with a medium flame to let it preheat
  • Now the suji has expanded, so we add the remaining milk out of the 1 cup
  • Moreover, add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence, and 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • You can any toppings like tutti fruity or chopped dry fruits
  • After that add a pouch of eno so that the cake expands properly
  • Now add additional 2-3 spoons of milk to get perfect flowing consistency
  • Put the batter in the cake tin that we prepared and tap to even it out
  • Top with some more tutti fruity or dry fruits
  • Put a stand in the preheated kadai and place the cake tin carefully
  • Cover the Kadai for 5 minutes at medium flame and after that at a low flame or sim the gas
  • Check the cake after 40 minutes by inserting a knife in the middle
  • If the knife comes out clean then the cake is cooked
  • Otherwise, we can cook it for an additional 10 minutes
  • Finally, take the cake out and let it cool down
  • Put a plate on the top and flip the cake over to take it out
